Big Brother launches audition channel on YouTube

Feel like auditioning for the next series of Big Brother from the comfort of your own home?

Big Brother producers have teamed up with YouTube to launch a dedicated audition channel, where potential housemates can upload a one-minute video of themselves.

The audition videos can be viewed by the public as well as the Big Brother team. Those who shine could be called to two closed auditions where they’ll get to meet the producers face to face.

Channel 4 commissioning editor David Williams said: “Every year we hold incredibly successful open auditions across the country and for our 10-year anniversary we wanted to reach even more hopeful housemates.

“YouTube is the world’s leading video community so to team up with them is exciting. And even if you’re not brave enough to upload an audition video, BB fans can try and spot potential by adding to favourites or comments, to let the producers know who they think would be entertaining in the house. And the advice we offer to all our hopefuls is: ‘Be Yourself!'”
