Nathan now faces eviction from the Big Brother house after Caoimhe managed to save herself by winning a task.
Caoimhe and John James received the most nominations this week and faced each other in the ‘Stay On TV’ challenge, requiring them to stay on the bucking-bronco TV for the longest time in order to be allowed to literally stay on TV for another week.
Caoimhe stayed on the TV for 24 seconds, while John James only managed 19.
The Irish contestant said: “Oh God, I’m sorry” as she swapped her picture with Nathan’s and he said “Don’t worry, sound.”
Bookmakers William Hill have made Nathan 1/4 favourite to get the boot and John James is 11/4 to go.
When Big Brother earlier gathered the housemates on the sofas Caoimhe had been expecting to learn she had been nominated, bracing herself as she and Josie hugged.
But Josie was shocked to hear John’s name, turning and saying “Oh” to the Australian sitting on the other side of her.
Mario asked: “Is that the first time we’ve ever had just two people up?” and all the housemates agreed they had expected there to be as many as five facing eviction this week.
Earlier on Tuesday, Caiomhe proposed on one knee to her boyfriend, Dave, from the Diary Room and asked Big Brother if she could have a wedding in the house, with Welsh minister Dave conducting the ceremony.
Her boyfriend appears on Big Brother’s Little Brother on Tuesday evening where he will reveal his answer live to the nation.
