Sylvia has become the second Big Brother housemate to be evicted this series after losing the public vote to Mohamed.

The 21-year-old – who grinned when Davina announced her name on Friday’s show – received a whopping 90.2 per cent of the public vote.

She had been the favourite with the bookies to get the boot.

Fellow nominee Mohamed was the first to console her, giving her a hug while the other housemates sat in shocked silence. Jennifer was left in tears at the news, while Kathreya and Rebecca looked devastated.

However the reaction to Sylvia’s eviction was largely a quiet one, with only Dale telling her he would “miss” her.

Earlier in the evening both she and Mohamed had confessed to having eviction jitters. “I’m not scared, I’m just nervous,” Sylvia told the others.

Although she is only the second evictee to be voted out by the public, Sylvia is the fourth housemate to leave so far this series, after Stephanie was evicted, and Alexandra and Dennis were both removed for unacceptable behaviour.

She will leave the house later on Friday evening.
