Rachel Ifon has become the seventh person to be evicted from the Big Brother 2010 house after losing out to John James and Dave in the public vote.

The 28-year-old flight attendant from Liverpool had been the bookies’ favourite for the chop ahead of John James who had been nominated for the second consecutive week.

Dave was also facing eviction for the second week in a row after being chosen by previous nominee Mario following this week’s Save and Replace task.

It was the second time that Rachel – who entered the house in the fourth week of the series along with Andrew and Keeley – had been nominated for eviction.

She was saved the first time around after the eviction was cancelled following Caoimhe’s departure and Keeley leaving the house with a broken ankle.

Her departure means that Andrew is the only one of the trio who is still in the house.

Rachel appeared resigned to her fate upon hearing news of her eviction, and was all smiles as she left the house, despite having to face a crowd who had been previously chanting “get Rachel out”.

However the response from the audience was largely a positive one – and Rachel admitted she was “ecstatic to be out of the house”.

“I already knew,” she told Davina. “You know you get in that frame of mind that you’re going.”
