Several of the Big Brother contestants have been greeted with a chorus of boos as they entered the house on Wednesday night.

Twins Amanda and Sam, unemployed Charley and Victoria Beckham obsessive Chanelle were among those who got on the wrong side of the crowd. Teenage drama student Emily also received a mixed reaction.

Charley, who is the cousin of Man United footballer Kieran Richardson, received a particularly frosty reception, with crowd members heckling her and shouting “get a job” after she boasted of her unemployed status and glamorous lifestyle.

Later on, in the house, she said she couldn’t understand why she had been booed.

However, 60-year-old retired headhunter Lesley received a more positive response, while pink haired cleaner Tracey proved very popular and was cheered enthusiastically on her way into the house.

The biggest reception, however, was saved for 53-year-old Carole, the final housemate. The crowd not only greeted her with huge cheers, but were chanting her name just moments after she had gone into the house.
