Tensions are rising in the Big Brother household as the public vote opened to choose the next housemate to get the boot.
Dave was due to face Sunshine and Shabby in the vote but saved himself by winning a puzzle task, choosing Caoimhe to replace him.
Although the Christian minister claimed he was “gutted” to have to make the decision, Caoimhe branded him fake for being friendly then picking her.
After Dave announced his decision, the student replied: “It’s funny how you told me you loved me the other day.”
They later clashed in the kitchen when the Dubliner told him she thought he had been fake when he had been nice to her.
Dave had earlier told other housemates: “I’m gutted, it’s upsetting having to do that again, but what am I supposed to do?”
Caoimhe now fears the public will agree with Dave and she’ll be the next one out of the door.
Dave’s decision was also unpopular with Shabby who fears she is destined to be separated from the object of her crush at Friday’s eviction.
Caoimhe is the bookies’ favourite to go, with William Hill offering odds of 1/2 that she will be kicked out on Friday.
Shabby, who had previously been favourite for eviction, had her odds shortened to 13/8, while Sunshine looked relatively safe at 12/1.
