Jack Tweed has rushed to Jade Goody’s bedside at her Essex home following a call from a nurse to say there was an emergency.

Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said that the 21-year-old was allowed to break his night-time curfew to be with his wife after receiving the call.

The Sun reports that he was summoned after the former Big Brother star, who has terminal cancer, took a turn for the worse.

“The nurse decided he must be there as she was in so much pain,” Clifford told the paper.

“We don’t know at this stage how serious it is. There must have been a significant change in her condition for Jack to be there.”

Recent changes in Jack’s curfew have allowed him to spend Thursday and Saturday nights with Jade – but the restriction was lifted on Friday night as her pain worsened.

“Jack is the one person able to help her when she is like that,” Clifford said.

And he also told the paper that she will be celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday with her sons, a week early.

Meanwhile, Jade is said to be delighted at the news that the government is to review the current age limit for cervical cancer screening.

A panel of experts will consider whether the age to begin screening women for the disease should be lowered from 25 to 20.

“She is delighted at this news,” Clifford said. “Everybody in Britain knows who’s responsible for this — and that’s Jade.”

“She said to me, ‘It’s too late for me, but there’s an awful lot who will benefit through what has happened to me’.”

And the Mirror reports that Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, who appeared with Jade on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, is flying to the UK on Wednesday to see her.

Shetty was the alleged victim of racist bullying by Jade on the reality show but the pair have since become friends. The actress has reportedly phoned her on a regular basis since she learned that she was dying.
