Jade Goody had been fighting to spend one final Mother’s Day with her sons before she passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddy had been hoping to spend the day with their mother, according to the News Of The World, but it was sadly not to be.

“The boys’ dream had been to see their mum on Mother’s Day,” a close friend of the family told the paper.

“They knew it would be the last big day they could spend with their mum as birthdays and Christmas are too far away.

Luckily they have a wonderful dad in Jeff and grandma in Jackiey who can nurse them through this painful episode.”

Both boys had apparently made Mother’s Day cards for Jade and had planned to deliver them to their mother on Sunday morning along with flowers.

The former Big Brother star had reportedly been in a coma for the 48 hours before her death.

“We all knew the end was getting close when she couldn’t even raise a smile or give a thumbs-up,” a friend said.

Plans are now being made for Jade’s funeral, which she said she wanted to be a “celebration” of her life.

“The funeral will be a celebration of Jade’s life, a reflection of how she’s lived in the last seven years—full on,” a spokesman said. “She wants to say farewell to anyone who wants to be there. It will reflect the happiest seven years of her life.

“There will be tears, but a lot of love and laughter as well.”
