Jade Goody has hit back at those who have doubted husband Jack Tweed’s motives for being with her.
In what was billed as her last ever interview, Jade, who is terminally ill with cancer, told of her heartbreak at his detractors, saying they were ‘well out of order’.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Jade said: “How am I meant to react to stuff like that? It really upsets me. They don’t know anything about us. Jack loves me and I love him. Yeah, he’s been a bit stupid in the past but he is young.”
She continued: “The boys adore him – he was still playing with them at 1am at our wedding away from all his mates. That’s how good he is with them.”
Jade and Jack married last month, and last weekend Jade fulfilled her wish by being christened with her two sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.
The 27-year-old former Big Brother star also hopes to leave the Royal Marsden Hospital in London by the end of the week – if her agony can be controlled, publicist Max Clifford has said.
She said of Jack: “He’s been a brilliant dad and I’m just sorry I could never give him his own child.”
Earlier this month, Jack was convicted of assaulting a taxi driver. Magistrates warned him that he could be jailed when he is sentenced on March 26.
It is the second time in six months that Jack has been convicted of assault.
