Cancer-stricken Jade Goody has been described as ‘the best mum in the world’ by her young son as she begins married life.
The former Big Brother star, who has been given just weeks to live after learning her illness is terminal, enjoyed a day of ‘laughter and tears’, with her two children at the ‘heart’ of the lavish ceremony in Essex, her publicist Max Clifford said.
Jade’s “dream” wedding to Jack Tweed was attended by around 200 guests including television personalities Richard Madeley, Judy Finnigan and Paul O’Grady – and also included a performance from the Sugababes.
Mother-of-two Jade was reportedly dosed with painkillers for the 45-minute service at the Down Hall Country Hotel near Hatfield Heath.
On Monday, Max told GMTV: “It was a day she will never forget, but a day that everyone that was there won’t ever forget. It was just absolutely beautiful.
“The boys were at the heart of everything that happened yesterday, giggling and laughing and obviously having a wonderful day themselves.
“She’s going to enjoy what time she has left with them because that’s Jade and they’re very close.”
Jade sold the picture and TV rights of the ceremony for nearly £1 million, and hopes to raise as much money as possible for her sons, Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, from her previous relationship with TV presenter Jeff Brazier.
Max added that Bobby made a ‘moving tribute’ to his mother when he described her as ‘the best mum in the world’.
He added that Jade was ‘absolutely exhausted’ as the night went on after dancing with Jack and her children until about 10.30pm.
