Big Brother divorcees Chantelle and Preston have been reunited as they joined the all-star line-up for the final series – along with Ulrika Jonsson.

The couple, who met on the celeb version of the show and married after a whirlwind romance, were among 10 former contestants joining the swansong series on Channel 4, Ultimate Big Brother.

Mother-of-four Ulrika was the Celebrity Big Brother champ in 2009, much to her amazement.

Also joining the series for the last push – a fortnight-long run before the reality series leaves C4 for good – were past stars such as former winner Brian Dowling, Coolio and John McCririck.

Tuesday night’s debut programme kicked off just moments after the winner of Big Brother 11 Josie was announced. After her winner’s interview, the bubbly Bristol lass went back into the house to compete for the ultimate crown.

Also joining the last hurrah was anti-hero ‘nasty’ Nick Bateman who notably became the first person to be kicked out of the show during the first series in 2000 after trying to influence nominations. Completing the group were Makosi Musambasi, sex-change Big Brother 5 winner Nadia Almada and Nikki Grahame.

There has been speculation for weeks about who would be taking part in the Ultimate series. Channel 4 put many off the scent as they built up the hype with a poster campaign featuring a number of past BB stars who have not been included, such as Dane Bowers, Brian Belo, Craig Phillips and Michelle Bass.
