Rylan Clark: I’ve never been so depressed

Rylan Clark has admitted that while he loves his new-found fame he would give it all up for love.

The former X Factor finalist turned Big Brother‘s Bit On The Side presenter told New! magazine that he was desperate for a boyfriend, admitting he had not been in a relationship for four years.

“I’ve got absolutely everything I’ve always wanted – money, security, the job – and not a lot of people can get that,” Rylan said.

“But the one thing that anyone can get, I can’t get. I’m just starting to realise now that you have to be careful what you wish for. I’m not confident either.

“All I want is a boyfriend. If it meant me giving up everything, I would. I love my job but there’s got to be some happy medium.

“I’m fed up of being single,” he added. “I just want someone I can have a laugh and a cuddle with. I’m going to be brutally honest – I’ve never been so depressed in my life.”

He added that his star status had the potential to make relationships difficult, saying: “It’s hard for me because I’ll meet someone and I’m at a disadvantage because instantly they know everything about me and I know nothing about them.”

“I’m constantly wrapped up in this bubble where no-one can get to me, or if I try to get to someone then someone’s watching.”
