Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle has said she was overwhelmed to discover Hollywood star Demi Moore was among her growing army of fans.

The 47-year-old unemployed church volunteer from West Lothian wowed judges on the ITV show with her rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables – and actress Demi revealed she was moved to tears by the performance after watching it with husband Ashton Kutcher.

Asked what it meant to her to get such support from the celebrity couple, Susan said: “That’s overwhelming. That’s something else.”

After seeing the Scot’s performance online, Ashton reportedly wrote on Twitter that it ‘just made my night’.

Ghost star Demi replied: ‘You saw it made me teary!’

Susan, who told the talent show she dreams of becoming a singer as successful as Elaine Paige, has now become favourite with the bookies to win the prize – a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

Show judge Piers Morgan described her rendition as ‘an incredible performance’, while fellow judge Amanda Holden told her it was a ‘complete privilege’ to listen to her singing.
