Simon Cowell has suggested he would use the new ‘Golden Buzzer’ on Britain’s Got Talent to get rid of fellow judge David Walliams.
An exciting twist to the ITV talent show gives judges Simon, David, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden the chance to choose one favourite act to send straight through to the live rounds, by hitting their golden buzzer, regardless of what their fellow panellists think.
Speaking on the red carpet as the auditions arrived in London, Simon asked David if he could push his buzzer for him to “disappear just for that day”.
Simon added that he still enjoyed judging Britain’s Got Talent, now in its eighth series, because “you don’t know what’s going to happen”.
And following the news that Simon will be returning to The X Factor panel later this year, and that he’s apparently wooing Cheryl Cole to join him, he said: “We’ll hopefully be able to say something quite soon.”
