Britain’s Got Talent singing sensation Susan Boyle may have annoyed show bosses by having a makeover.

The 48-year-old, whose frumpy looks and stunning voice won over the nation, has dyed her frizzy grey hair brown in a makeover costing £35.

Susan, from West Lothian, also had her eyebrows styled for £5 days earlier at the Miss Toner salon in Whitburn, according to reports in The Sun.

But while Susan may love her new look, bosses of the ITV1 show, which made her a global superstar, wanted to keep her the way she was ahead of the finals.

One source said earlier this week: “It wouldn’t be right to dye her hair and suddenly make Susan all glam. People have fallen in love with the real Susan. We don’t want to change what they fell in love with.”

And Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden agreed. She said: “She needs to stay exactly as she is as that’s the reason we love her. She looks like anybody who could live on your street. The minute we turn her into a glamour-puss it’s spoilt.”

A Britain’s Got Talent spokeswoman said: “Susan’s a grown woman and can do what she likes with her hair.”
