Britain’s Got Talent hopefuls are to have the chance to audition via YouTube for the first time ever.

Producers will choose 20 acts from those who submit their clips online, who will then have the chance to perform for judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.

However the panel will still have to give them the thumbs up in order for them to make it through to the live finals.

A final 50 of the best online auditions will be available to view at the show’s official website, as well as on a dedicated YouTube channel.

“Britain’s Got Talent launches another first as it opens its online auditions and adds an exciting new dimension to the show in our search for the best of British talent,” said John Kaye Cooper, ITV’s controller of entertainment.

Details of how to submit your video are available on the website, and performers of all ages can apply. The closing date for submissions is March 24.
