Kym Marsh is said to be “gutted” that her 16-year-old daughter Emily’s Britain’s Got Talent audition will not be shown on TV at all, despite impressed the judges with her audition in Manchester.

Coronation Street star Kym, who was in Hear’Say after competing in Popstars, was so proud when Emily go through the auditions, but now knows that Emily won’t be going any further in the competition.

David Walliams told Emily she was “brave” for following in her mum’s showbiz footsteps back in February after she sang Norah Jones hit I Don’t Know Why.

“You’ve had a fantastic teacher then, in your mum,” added Alesha Dixon, with Amanda Holden also giving Emily the thumbs up.

Kym’s Coronation Street co-stars Alison King (Carla Barlow) Ian Puleston-Davies (Owen Armstrong) were also on hand to cheer the young singer on.

But according to the Daily Star, producers have decided not to televise Emily’s audition at all and an unnamed source is quoted as saying Kym, 37, is “gutted”.

Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals begin Monday, May 26, on ITV.
