Dannii Minogue is set to join the judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent when the show returns next year, according to the papers.

The Sunday Mirror reports that the former X Factor judge – who is already on the panel of Australia’s Got Talent – has been told she is wanted for the show, with her schedule being planned accordingly.

Comedian David Walliams and Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo are also being tipped to join the panel when auditions for the new series begin in January.

Amanda Holden will return to the series for the live shows but will not be taking part in the auditions as she is due to give birth shortly before they begin. A number of stars are expected to stand in for her until she returns.

“Everybody is really excited about the new line-up,” an insider told the paper. “David was confirmed this week and the producers think it’s the best yet.”

“He’s a real favourite with the nation and Dannii is hugely popular. It’s exciting for her to be coming back.”

However sources say that Dannii is insisting that show bosses are clear about dates and when and where auditions will be taking place, to avoid a repeat of the problems which forced her to quit The X Factor.

She has claimed that she quit that show after producers re-jigged the schedule to accommodate new judge Gary Barlow – which meant the show clashed with filming of Australia’s Got Talent.

“Dannii was really disappointed not to be able to return to the UK for this year’s X Factor, so she wants to make this work,” the insider said.
