Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity have been signed up to star in a 3D dance movie.
The 11-strong dance troupe, who beat singer Susan Boyle in the final of the ITV1 show on Saturday night, will appear in the film, Street Dance, alongside fellow finalists Flawless.
James Richardson, producer and co-founder of Vertigo Films, signed up both dance groups to the film after seeing them perform at the UK Street Dance Championships last July.
James said: “When I saw Flawless and Diversity last summer I immediately started talking to them about being in the film since I felt they represented the very best of British streetdance, which is in itself some of the best in the World.
“Streetdance is a global phenomenon and we want this film to showcase to the world the extraordinary talents of British streetdancers.”
George Sampson will also make his first big-screen appearance since winning Britain’s Got Talent last year.
Street Dance follows the fortunes of a dance crew in training for the Street Dance Championships, who are forced to join forces with ballet dancers from the Royal Dance School for any chance of winning the title.
Street Dance begins shooting in August.
