The daughter of Coronation Street star Kym Marsh looks set to follow in her mother’s showbiz footsteps after she auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent.
Emily, 16, went before the judges at the Manchester auditions on Friday, buoyed on by support both from Kim and some of her Corrie co-stars.
“Wishing my baby all the luck in the world today!” Kym tweeted, adding: “Too proud of you emz.”
Meanwhile Ian Puleston-Davis and Alison King were among others voicing their good wishes to the teenager.
Although the outcome of her performance has not been revealed, David Walliams reportedly told her she was “brave” for attempting to emulate her mother’s success, while Alesha Dixon added: “You’ve had a fantastic teacher in your mum.”
However Emily did not have to face Simon Cowell at the Manchester try-outs as the mogul was unable to attend due to being in bed with flu.
Britain’s Got Talent is due to return in the Spring, with auditions currently being held up and down the UK.
