Simon Cowell has declared he’s a big fan of Sky1’s Pineapple Dance Studios – and wishes the reality show had been his idea.

The Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor judge is believed to have phoned producers to congratulate them on the show – admitting it’s the only rival TV show he’s been jealous of in five years.

An insider told The Sun: “Simon doesn’t exactly dish out the praise for rival shows so it was a huge honour to get the call. Let’s face it, Simon Cowell knows what he’s talking about when it comes to hit telly.

“Everyone on the show has got a bit of a spring in their step today.”

Simon’s interest has sparked rumours that he could be planning to make a show with Pineapple Dance Studios’ camp choreographer Louie Spence, who’s proved a huge hit with viewers.

Louie has already been linked with a judging role on Britain’s Got Talent.

A source said: “Louie is a real showman and he is not afraid to speak his mind. He is also a veteran dancer and choreographer so he knows his onions.

“He would be perfect for Got Talent – but would need some training as he was a judge on Sky’s Cirque De Celebrité and didn’t exactly set the heather alight.”
