Simon Cowell has stuck by his Britain’s Got Talent Golden Ticket act Bars and Melody and signed them to his record company, along with winners Collabro.

Best friends Charlie Lenehan, 15, and Leondre Devries, 13, who make up Bars and Melody, came third in the live final of the TV talent contest and will release their version of Twista’s Hope next month.

The Mirror newspaper reports that Simon has signed them to his Syco label on an initial one-single deal.

“You know what, I think it could be a hit,” Simon told the boys when he first heard them sing the song at their audition in May and hit the golden buzzer.

Now Simon has put his money where his mouth is.

The song has been viewed 33milllion times on YouTube.

Charlie, from Bristol, said: “It’s a dream come true.”

A show insider added: “Simon was surprised the boys only came third.

“He’s going to see how the single goes, but thinks they have a very rosy future.”
