Snoop Dogg has revealed plans to record a duet with Susan Boyle.

The 38-year-old US rap star has long been a fan of the 49-year-old Scottish singer, who made her name on Britain’s Got Talent last year, but now he has revealed plans to head into the studio with her.

Snoop told The Sun: “She’s a great artist – I’m looking forward to going into the studio with her, why not?

“We’re going to get our minds together and figure out what we’re going to sing about. I’m down with that. There isn’t much I can’t do.”

The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, also thinks he could be the man to replace Simon Cowell when he leaves American Idol.

Snoop said: “I think I would be perfect. I understand the dynamics of music and see stars before they are made.”

The hip-hop artist and reality TV star – who has drugs and firearms convictions – also vowed to return to Britain now that his 2006 visa ban has been overturned.

Snoop said: “I have been reinstated and I am on my way back to the UK. There was no way to keep me out. I’ve done nothing wrong over there to prohibit myself from being there. I’m all about the people. The people love me.”
