Susan Boyle, who made her name on ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent, will focus on developing her career in America before releasing any music in Britain.
Record company bosses are keen for the Scottish singer, 48, to crack the US market first as they see it as the most crucial, according to The Mirror.
The star is already planning to fly there in November and will sing at several public events before releasing an album, which is predicted to be a No.1 hit worldwide.
A source close to Susan said: “We are really pleased with how she is doing and the album is now well on the way to being finished.
“Susan will be flying to America in November to give her fans there a treat for Thanksgiving. Initially there were plans for a single, but now it seems to be all about an album.”
Susan’s performances on Britain’s Got Talent have attracted 300 million hits on the YouTube website.
