Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle has been seen in public for the first time since leaving The Priory – and reportedly was relaxed and happy.

The 48-year-old – who spent four days in the North London clinic being treated for exhaustion after the final of the ITV1 show – even greeted her fans as she shopped in Radlett, Herts.

“She was smiling and waving at fans and it even looked like she’d had a bit of a makeover. Her hair looked professionally dyed and she had a smart new top and trousers on,” a bystander told The Sun.

“She came out of the shop, waved at everyone and did one of her funny little dances. It was great to see her looking on form.”

Meanwhile the paper also reports that Susan is also in talks with Simon Cowell about releasing her first album.

“Simon has made it clear this will happen,” an insider said, “we’re just waiting to find the time.”

And her brother Gerry Boyle told GMTV, “This is exactly what she wants to do.”

Susan will also appear on the Britain’s Got Talent live tour which begins on June 12 – but she may miss out on the first few dates.

“Everyone wants to be sure she is in good health,” a source close to the tour said.
