Emmerdale‘s Danny Miller, best actor winner at the British Soap Awards, hopes his character Aaron is about to find some overdue happiness.
Aaron’s in the middle of a heart-wrenching storyline in which his tetraplegic boyfriend Jackson (Marc Silcock) wants to die.
While Danny says it’s been great working with Marc, he told whatsontv.co.uk at the soap awards: “I’d like to see a bit of happiness at some point. Not necessarily with another partner… But someone bringing a bit of happiness into his life. And maybe seeing a few smiles now and again.”
Danny, 20, would certainly have been smiling when he awarded best actor over EastEnders’ Shane Richie, Hollyoaks’ Emmett J Scanlan and Coronation Street’s Chris Gascoyne. The awards screen on ITV1 on Wednesday evening.
