Celebrity Big Brother producers say they’ve informed Angie Bowie off-camera of the death of her ex-husband, David, and she has decided to stay in the Big Brother house.
In a short statment, Big Brother said: “The decision to remain in the House is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed.”
David Bowie passed away over the weekend after an 18-month battle with cancer. He was married to former model Angie from 1970-1980 and they had one child, award-winning film director Duncan Jones.
Their divorce was acrimonious and Angie recently said of Bowie: “He hates me. I go to great lengths to avoid him.”
The legendary rock star died having just released a new album Blackstar on Friday, which was his 69th birthday.
