Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Michael Barrymore is to turn roving reporter for the latest series, which kicks off in the New Year.
Barrymore will appear on the fanzine show Celebrity Big Brother’s Little Brother, those behind the show confirmed.
He will offer his thoughts on how the celebrities, whose identities are under wraps, are faring, as well as becoming an on-the-street reporter.
Barrymore was beaten into second place in the contest in 2006 by ‘fake’ celebrity Chantelle Houghton.
George Lamb will host Celebrity Big Brother’s Little Brother on E4.
George said that Jeremy Kyle would be his dream celebrity to go into the house.
Comedian Jack Whitehall will preside over the debate on Celebrity Big Brother’s Big Mouth in front of a studio audience of obsessive fans on E4 for the three-week run.
As usual, presenter Davina McCall will preside over the live launch night on Channel 4 and the evictions.
She said: “It’s good to be back. Can’t wait… it’s going to be amazing!”
Celebrity Big Brother launches live at 9pm on January 2 on Channel 4.
