Jo O’Meara and Cleo Roccas became the latest housemates voted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house in a double eviction on Friday night.

The former S Club 7 singer and the actress joined Carole Malone, Jackiey Budden and Jade Goody among the evictees.

Jo, who received 48.4% of the vote, was tarnished in the public’s eye by her tacit support for Jade when she verbally attacked the Big Brother hot favourite Shilpa Shetty, and the crowds chanted for her eviction as Davina announced the pair were leaving the Big Brother house

Jo seemed delighted when she was nominated for eviction this week, and had complained more than anyone about homesickness. But it’s the ‘coven’ she formed with Danielle Lloyd and Jade, and their treatment of Shilpa Shetty, for which she will be forever remembered.

When questioned by Davina after she left the house, Jo claimed she was not a racist, citing in her defence the fact that a family member is married to an Indian.

Cleo’s harassment of Dirk earlier in the week was undoubtedly a contributing factor in her downfall, as was her failure to intervene in the Shilpa-Jade “stock cube” argument.

In her post-eviction interview, Cleo defended the fact that she failed to bring an end to the shouting match, saying she felt that it needed someone who hadn’t been present during the row to defuse it.
