Jack Tweed arrested after nightclub brawl

Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed has been arrested following a nightclub brawl.

The 23-year-old was questioned on Wednesday on suspicion of affray after attending a police station in Ilford, east London.

It followed an altercation at a nightclub in Chigwell, Essex, earlier this week which reportedly left one man with a black eye and a swollen face.

According to The Sun, Tweed arrived with his solicitor at Ilford police station on Wednesday afternoon and spent several hours inside.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “A 23-year-old man attended an east London police station by appointment and was arrested on suspicion of affray.”

Tweed was released on bail until later this month.

He married Big Brother star Jade, 27, shortly before she lost her battle against cervical cancer in March 2009.

Last year he was cleared of raping a 19-year-old student.

He also has convictions for attacking a 16-year-old boy and assaulting a taxi driver.
