Jade Goody’s funeral is to be shown on television.

The final chapter in the late reality TV star’s life, Jade: With Love part 2, will be screened on LIVING on Thursday, April 9.

It will be narrated by Kate Jackson, producer of the show and friend and bridesmaid to Jade, who died on Mother’s Day following her battle with cervical cancer.

Kate said: “At first Jade said she didn’t want to get involved in the planning of her funeral, but then she had some strong ideas about what she wanted and what she didn’t want.

“What she did want was a huge day. She wanted tears, she wanted everyone to be able to come and grieve for her.”

The show follows the funeral procession from the chapel of rest in Bermondsey to St John’s church in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, stopping at significant places in Jade’s life along the way.

Kate said: “Jackiey [Jade’s mother] wanted to mark significant places in Jade’s life, with the funeral procession, and there were just so many people that wanted to come out and say goodbye to her. It was a sad day, the day we buried Jade Goody and I think the whole nation felt it.

“As we drove up to the church, it became clear that thousands and thousands of people had turned up. I mean, I’ve never seen anything like it. There were just rows of people all gathered around the cars. It was unbelievable.”
