Reality TV star Kerry Katona has called in the police after reportedly being targeted by repeated phone calls from an alleged stalker.
According to the Sunday Mirror Kerry – who finished runner-up in Celebrity Big Brother in the summer – contacted the authorities after the mystery caller – identified as an American woman – called her manager Max Clifford and said she had seen her naked.
“I was getting dressed and there was a phone call to Max’s company from this lady saying she’d been watching me getting changed. The thing was I had been naked and putting my clothes on minutes before,” Kerry told the paper.
“So I panicked and called the police,” she added. “But this woman has been annoying us for weeks now.
“At the end of the day I’ve got four kids, live in a big house and have to take this sort of thing seriously. This is the first time I’ve felt genuinely scared about a stalker. I won’t let this beat me though.”
Clifford told the paper that it was “very sad for the lady and very scary for Kerry”.
The troubled star has battled drink and drugs issues in the past but has recently made attempts to turn her life around.
As well as Celebrity Big Brother, she also appeared on Dancing On Ice earlier this year.
