Billionaire businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on Saturday, according to reports.
The former Harrods owner – whose son Dodi was killed in the same car crash that claimed the life of Princess Diana – was due to arrive on Saturday afternoon during a ‘Mummy’ task assigned to the housemates.
It is unclear whether he is making a guest appearance or will be a permanent housemate.
However the 62-year-old told the Daily Star, “I’m going into the house to serve up quite a few surprises.”
It is also thought he might use the opportunity to confront celebrity Darryn Lyons over the issue of the paparazzi invading people’s privacy.
Al-Fayed has in the past accused paparazzi photographers of playing a part in Dodi and Diana’s fatal car crash in 1997 after refusing to leave the couple alone.
“This will be a real shocker, another Fright Night,” a source said. “Let’s just say that Al-Fayed knows of Darryn, what he has done, and isn’t his biggest admirer.”
His appearance in the house follows the announcement on Friday’s show that a “billionaire lodger” would be arriving over the weekend.
