Ron Atkinson bids farewell to Celebrity Big Brother

Ron Atkinson has become the second person to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother 2013 after losing out in a five-way eviction vote.

The former football manager had already managed to survive the first eviction vote of the series on Wednesday which saw Danielle Marr become the first person to leave the house.

However he proved no match for the latest round of voting which saw him up against Courtney Stodden, Louie Spence, Lauren Harries and Charlotte Crosby.

And having appeared pleased at the news that his brief spell in the house was over, he made a memorable exit – tripping up the stairs on his way out.

Afterwards the 74-year-old told host Emma Willis: “It’s been good but I was quite pleased to come out now. I’ve done my time.”

“I went in with an open mind,” he added, “I didn’t watch an awful lot of the show in the past so I didn’t know what to expect.

“I’ve had a different sort of experience to anything else I’ve had in life.Let me tell you I’ll be talking about this in a few months time.”

Ron was also vocal when it came to talking about his fellow housemates, saying that he was glad Lauren had survived the vote.

“I would have kept Lauren in tonight, there was a lot of angst against her,” he admitted.

“I’m glad she’s through because it means an awful lot to her. Her lifestyle depends on it, I think, in her own mind.”

The next Celebrity Big Brother eviction will take place on Wednesday night’s live show.
