Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards and Miles Jupp have become the latest two contenders to reach the final of Let’s Dance for Sport Relief, following Saturday night’s show.

Olympic skiier Eddie won this weekend’s public vote following his recreation of the opening sequence from Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery.

Meanwhile Miles – best known for the sitcom Rev and the children’s show Balamory – beat TOWIE twosome Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge to the final after his version of the Prodigy’s Firestarter proved a hit with the judges.

Amy and Harry narrowly missed out with their interpretation of the Madonna/Britney Spears duet Must Be The Music, which saw Amy dressed as Madonna and Harry donning a long blonde wig to play Britney.

And although they proved popular with celebrity judge and former Let’s Dance winner Rufus Hound, the votes from Iain Lee and Vic Reeves ultimately sent them home

The pair will now join EastEnders duo Tameka Empson and Laurie Brett and comedian Terry Alderton, who were the winners of last weekend’s show, in the final on March 17.

Comedienne Ava Vidal and Shameless actress Alice Barry also took part in Saturday’s show, the former performing to the song Get Happy and the latter recreating George Michael’s routine from the Outside video.

Both the winners won praise from the judges, with Vic Reeves calling Eddie’s routine, “technically the most proficient dance ever performed” while Rufus said of Miles’ dance, “I am filled with nothing but respect, that was phenomenal.”

Saturday’s show also featured performances from Alexandra Burke, who performed her new single Elephant, and Brit Awards winner Ed Sheeran who sang his new song Drunk.
