Fern Britton is taking to the floor for the next heat of BBC celebrity show Let’s Dance For Comic Relief.
The This Morning host will perform on live TV in front of celebrity judging panel Anton Du Beke, Lisa Snowdon and Dara O’Briain, but it will be up to the public to vote for who goes through to the final on March 14.
Fern will compete against former newsreader Angela Rippon – who famously danced with Morecombe and Wise on their show – as well as Zoe Ball and Suggs, Dom Joly, sports stars Martin Offiah and Denise Lewis and The Bill actors Lisa Maxwell and Patrick Robinson.
The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Steve Jones, will see the six acts perform iconic dance routines in a bid to wow viewers and win a place in next week’s spectacular final dance-off.
Who goes through and who gets a chance to compete in the final will be down to the public phone votes and the panel.
They will then have to compete against Robert Webb’s Flashdance, Dick and Dom’s Blues Brothers number, Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness’s Dirty Dancing extravaganza and Jo Brand’s raunchy Britney routine.
The grand final will be judged by Anton, Denise Van Outen and comedian Michael McIntyre.
