Comedian Robert Webb is the bookies’ favourite to win Let’s Dance for Comic Relief.

The Peep Show stars odds are 11/10 with William Hill, followed by Paddy McGuinness and Keith Lemon at 6/5.

The Bill stars Lisa Maxwell and Patrick Robinson are next at 6/1, while Denise Lewis and Martin Offiah are at 10/1. Jo Brand and Dick And Dom are the outsiders at 16/1 and 20/1 respectively.

All profits made from the bets will be donated by William Hill to Comic Relief.

“We are confident that the British public will once again dig deep and we anticipate a record year,” said William Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s are predicting that they will run out of Red Noses tomorrow.

The supermarket said that despite the economic downturn it has seen record sales of Red Noses this year, and last week sales were up 23 per cent compared with 2007.

On average, 100,000 noses have been bought every day, with half a million noses sold last weekend alone.

Mike Sullivan, Sainsbury’s Comic Relief manager, said: “Sales of the Comic Relief Red Noses have gone through the roof.

“The response has been so positive that there is a real possibility that some Sainsbury’s stores may begin to run out of noses before the end of the week.”

The final of Let’s Dance For Comic Relief will be shown on Saturday March 14 at 7.15pm on BBC1.
