EastEnders – 10 Years Ago in the Soaps
Trying to get one over a hardened criminal like Terry Bates (Nicholas Ball) was a very bad move as Jase Dyer (Stephen Lord) tragically discovered. Terry was out for revenge, held Jase’s son Jay (Jamie Borthwick) hostage at their flat, then – helped by his heavies – gave Jase a beating that killed him. And he’d been due to marry Dawn Swann the next morning…
Bride-to-be Dawn Swann (Kara Tointon) was so excited about her hen night but the only guests who turned up were Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison) – and they only stayed for the free bar! But that was the least of Dawn’s worries as it turned out – her bridegroom Jase Dyer was brutally murdered the night before their wedding… Not how it was meant to be!
Coronation Street – 10 Years Ago in the Soaps
Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel) had no idea that David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) was only using her to make his on-off girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) jealous. She was delighted when he invited her round to watch a DVD and things were starting to get steamy when Tina walked in. She was furious and Amber rushed out crying, realising she’d been used. As for David, he was happy to see that Tina still cared!
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) managed to track down his useless mum Jackie (Margo Clarke) but it cost him big time. He and fiancée Molly Compton (Vicky Binns) took Jackie to the pub where they were accosted by scary Brian (Paul Oldham) who threatened Jackie and told Tyrone he wanted the thousand pounds she owed him. And that’s where their wedding fund went!
Emmerdale – 10 Years Ago in the Soaps
Donna Dingle’s efforts to catch Freddie, the crook who was framing her mum Viv for fraud, ended in disaster with Donna (Verity Rushworth) in hospital. She was upset when her police colleague Ross Kirk said maybe she’d made the wrong choice chasing Freddie and told husband Marlon (Mark Charnock) she was done with the police force. Their loss…
Val Pollard (Charlie Hardwick) was alarmed when her holiday mate Bonnie pitched up clearly planning on continuing the party. Eric Pollard wasn’t impressed when Bonnie said Val had never told him she was married. And her son Paul (Matthew Bose) was even less impressed when Val confessed that due to drink she couldn’t remember much of the holiday but it was possible she’d had an affair and Bonnie was a ticking time bomb…
Hollyoaks – 10 Years Ago in the Soaps
It should have been such happy news. John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) just wanted to tell mum Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) that he was getting married to his priest lover Kieron Hobbs (Jake Hendricks) and for her to be happy for them. But Myra wasn’t happy. She told JP he was too young to be settling down and should be out playing the field. And JP wondered if she was right…
Sinister Niall Rafferty (Barry Sloane) reckoned the way to Steph Cunningham’s heart was through her stepson Tom (Ellis Hollins) and she was certainly grateful when Niall invited Tom for a game of footie. But Steph (Carley Stenson) wasn’t about to forget that Niall was driving the car that killed her husband Max and Niall realised he’d have to work harder to get her trust.
