Alan Halsall: ‘My baby stopped production on Corrie!’

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has said when he took his new baby into work she put a stop to filming because the cast couldn’t get enough of her.

Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, recently welcomed his first child with wife and former Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson and told OK about his first visit to set with baby Sienna-Rae and her mum.

He said: “We said we’d go in for half an hour and we were still there three-and-a-half hours later. Production stopped!

“Everyone loved her. Andy (Whyment, Kirk Sutherland), Samia (Ghadie, Maria Connor) and Jane (Danson, Leanne Tilsley) all met Sienna, and without a doubt, Michelle (Keegan, Tina McIntyre) is the broodiest.

“She became an auntie the same week, so I showed her all our photos and went into great detail.”

Alan also said his castmates who were parents had offered him plenty of advice.

He said: “A lot of the lads at work – Chris (Gascoyne, Peter Barlow) and Simon (Gregson, Steve McDonald) – said it would change my life, but I didn’t get it until it happened. I told them that I absolutely get it now!”
