Catherine Tyldesley hopes Eva isn’t being killed off as she’d love to return

Catherine Tyldesley doesn't have her clue what her exit storyline is

Catherine Tyldesley has revealed that she’d love to come back to Coronation Street as Eva Price after taking a break from the ITV soap.

The 34-year-old actress surprised fans last year when she said she was quitting Corrie and she is currently building up to her exit storyline as Eva continues to hide the fact that she’s pregnant with her ex partner Adian’s baby.

“The last I heard they’re not killing me off!” Catherine told the Manchester Evening News. “I genuinely don’t have a clue how Eva goes though, they don’t tell me until a couple of weeks before.”

Catherine as Eva

Catherine has loved playing Eva, who has become one of the show’s most popular characters

Talking about whether she’d like to one day return as Eva, she said: “Absolutely, I know people say it and don’t but I really do. I’m a huge Corrie fan, the writers have written so well for Eva, and it would be great for Eva to come back.”

At the time of revealing her shock exit from the soap, Catherine, who has a three-year-old son, Alfie, with her husband Tom Pitfield, said: “I’m excited about the future, new acting projects, and spending time with my family.”
