“Let’s just say there’s probably going to be a lot of change for Michelle in the New Year,” Kym said – implying that love rat fella Steve McDonald may get his comeuppance.
“Michelle will be devastated when the affair is finally found out. She loves Steve with all her heart and thinks she’s going to be with him for the rest of her life. Obviously he has other plans!” she said.
And despite the prospect of losing her on-screen fella, Kym admitted illicit couple Becky and Steve, played by Katherine Kelly and Simon Gregson, are ‘very funny together’.
Kym has played opposite Simon for the majority of her two-and-a-half years on the Street. Even with the pub landlord playing away Kym believes the loveable rogue will still have a place in viewers’ hearts.
“Working with Simon is great fun,” she said. “You become very close to your on-screen family on set.
“And no matter what Steve McDonald does the viewers will always love him.
“He’s always got away with murder so I think there will be mixed feelings on the storyline. I do get people coming up to me on the street, saying ‘Hey love, he’s cheating on you, you know’,” she said.
