Coronation Street star Sally Whittaker has said she’s ‘raring to go’ after completing her breast cancer treatment.
Last week the actress returned to her role as Weatherfield’s Sally Webster, who has also been battling the illness, after taking time off work.
Speaking on GMTV, she revealed: “I’m doing really well – I’m really, really well. I’ve got through it all. It’s been six months, but I’m through it and I’m really well.
“And I’m back to work and I’m raring to go – I can’t tell you. Nobody can keep me down!”
The 46-year-old encouraged other women to stay vigilant against cancer by seeking help if they suspect anything is wrong.
She said: “Any woman, who’s got anything that you are slightly worried about, go and get it checked out – because I never thought this would happen to me.”
Sally’s return to Coronation Street will screen in July.
