Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper is to share her treasured moments with fans in a daily online diary.
The much-loved soap character – played by Julie Hesmondhalgh – has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and has compiled a wish list of things she wants to do with husband Roy in the time she has left.
Hayley told Roy: “I got to thinking, just about us, this, what I’m going to do with what’s left. I thought I might write it all down, keep a sort of diary.”
Some of the things on Hayley’s bucket list include letting go of 99 red balloons, overcoming her childhood fear of puppets with Roy’s help and revisiting the boating lake where they had their first kiss.
There will be pictures of Hayley’s precious moments, as well as extra video clips of what she and Roy get up to, exclusive to the site.
Viewers can see Hayley complete a Rubik’s cube, teach Roy to drive and even ride on the back of a Harley Davidson motorbike.
Viewers can read Hayley’s diary on the Coronation Street website at itv.com/Hayley from Monday September 30.
