Coronation St‘s Sally Dynevor supports Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life as she prepares to ditch her wig on the ITV1 soap.

Dynevor, who has battled breast cancer both in real life and on screen as her soap character Sally Webster, was joined on the cobbles by the cast of Race for Life’s mini-musical Join The Girls as she revealed her own hair following a successful course of treatment.

And she clearly can’t wait to shun the wig, telling MailOnline: “It just drives me mad. I’ve got my own hair now, but it’s really short – although everyone says it’s great and looks really funky.”

Actress Nikki Sanderson, TV presenter Jeff Brazier and This Morning’s Alison Hammond are among the stars of the mini-musical theatre performance that tells the story of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life in just six minutes.

The performances will be touring major cities including Leeds, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Birmingham.

It will also be shown at various cinemas before the screenings of ‘chick flicks’.
