Coronation Street‘s Sally Dynevor has revealed that she is seizing the chance to go on a ‘dream holiday’ with her husband, Emmerdale writer Tim Dynevor.

The 47-year-old actress – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in real life while filming a cancer storyline for her character Sally Webster – told the TV Times that she was looking forward to a romantic break in a tropical paradise.

“I’m going to the Maldives for a sneaky week – I’m leaving our three kids with my brother,” Sally said.

“I’ve never done that before, but having cancer has made me realise that you have to do things when you can. It’s something my husband and I have always wanted to do and we’re looking forward to having a week where we can just read books and talk to each other.

“We’ve been knee-deep in work and children for so long, we haven’t sat down and had proper chats.”

Sally also recently said that she would love her screen alter ego to be paired with a toy boy, following the character’s recent flirtations with Jeff Cullen, played by actor Stephen Houghton.

“It’s all going really well – Jeff is so handsome and attentive,” she told Inside Soap. “She’s flattered and he’s given her a whole new lease of life.

“But who knows? Perhaps she should have a fling with Tommy Duckworth (Chris Fountain) – that would really stick it to Kevin!”
