Vicky Entwistle who plays Coronation Street‘s Janice Battersby is reportedly being given a happy ending when she leaves Weatherfield next month.
The Underworld factory worker, who has been in the soap since 1997, is set to drive off into the sunset with her hunky ex-housemate Trevor Dean, played by Steve Jackson, reports The Daily Star.
When it was announced Vicky, 42, was quitting the cobbles, it was speculated she might be killed off in December’s tram crash. But Janice is apparently being sent off in style with a fitting comedy exit.
In her final scenes, to be screened in March, loud-mouth Janice will reportedly be sacked by boss Carla Connor for trying to start a strike at the factory, and will get into a fight with co-worker Julie Carp.
But things look up when bin man Trevor reportedly turns up and tells Janice: “I’m leaving for good Janice, and I’m going to travel to everywhere. I’ve always wanted to, and I’d like you to come with me if you fancy it.”
In a moving goodbye Janice apparently tells her stepdaughter Leanne (Jane Danson): “You’re the only thing I will miss.”
Trevor and Janice then drive off together, making sure they splash through a puddle, soaking everyone on the street including Janice’s arch enemy Eileen (Sue Cleaver).
