Helen Flanagan has reportedly resorted to having a nose job to help overcome insecurities about her appearance.
The Sun has published a picture of the actress and model with her nose swollen and in bandages after the surgery. The former Coronation Street star reportedly went abroad for the operation, which she wanted because of bullying about the size of her nose.
A source told the paper: “She was racked with self doubt. She was bullied throughout her school days about the size of her nose and it really affected her badly. Kids can be so cruel and some of what was said to her was incredibly hurtful.
“Being on Corrie meant she had nowhere to hide and any insecurities she had were made 10 times worse because she was being broadcast to the nation almost every night of the week. If the truth be told she has wanted to get a nose job for years, but she’s always been scared of going under the knife.
“She finally plucked up the courage and flew out to a foreign clinic at the start of last month. She was absolutely terrified before the op and there were points when she thought about pulling out. But she went through with it and, while it was incredibly painful, she is absolutely thrilled with the results. She thinks she looks great and is really proud of her new nose.”
But the 22-year-old I’m A Celebrity star came under fire for not being at boyfriend Scott Sinclair’s bedside when he recently had emergency surgery on a blood clot in his shoulder. But but it now appears his operation took place at the same time as her cosmetic surgery.
