Coronation Street‘s Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) had her heart broken big-time when she discovered boyfriend Tony Stewart (Terence Maynard) was cheating on her with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) back in the summer.
Not only that, he was also going along with devious Tracy’s plan to steal the pub off Liz and son Steve (Simon Gregson), so his betrayal was doubly hurtful.
Liz dumped Tony in a violent rage when she found out, so how come the pair of them are getting up close and personal again next week?
Tony’s a co-owner of the Rovers thanks to having conned Steve out of his share of the pub, so Liz has had to bite the bullet working alongside her ex-lover. However, this week, Liz is forced to ask for Tony’s help when a leak is discovered in the ladies’ loos.
After going behind Steve’s back to ask for Tony’s assistance, Liz is rumbled and Steve attempts to finish the repair job himself. But when his efforts fail, Liz is again forced to call on Tony to finish the job.
Later, Tony tells Liz how sorry he is for all the pain he’s caused her. He asks her to forgive him and begs her to give him another chance.
Following a secret date, Tony and Liz share a nightcap and the builder tentatively moves in for a kiss. How will Liz respond… and what will Steve do if he finds out?
Find out on Coronation Street on ITV from Monday, 2 November.
