Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor tells Soaplife Sally’s life hots up when she meets a guy who’s nothing like Kevin…
How are things between Sally and Kevin now?
“Not good. They’re both trying to score points. Kevin’s trying to sell the house and Sally’s trying to scupper his efforts.”
Is there any chance of them getting back together?
“Not in Sally’s mind because the trust has gone. She’s so upset and angry. She can’t forgive him.”
Could Kevin change her mind?
“Well if I were Kev’s friend I’d tell him to try harder. Where are the flowers? The promises that he’ll change? Make things better? Kevin doesn’t do anything.”
Does she still love him?
“Yes, I think she does.”
But then she meets a new man…
“She’s in The Rovers with Gail when she notices this good-looking younger man staring at them. He comes over and buys them a white wine spritzer and they’re very excited. Things like that don’t often happen in The Rovers.”
Does he chat them up?
“He’s called Jeff and he offers to buy them dinner. Sally tells him Gail has already had an omelette so she goes home to wash the pans while Sally and Jeff go to a Tex-Mex.”
How does it go?
“Jeff’s charming and they relax in each other’s company. Next day he takes her for a swanky lunch and Kevin sees her getting into his Alfa Romeo. He’s a bit peeved.”
Is she ready for a new relationship?
“She says to Jeff she isn’t and he says ‘I’m not asking to marry you.’ I think she sees
it as a bit of fun.”
How does Kevin react to Sally getting all this attention?
“He’s jealous. He tells Sally not to embarrass him, but she points out he’s already done that himself. For their next date she invites Jeff round for a candlelit meal and Kevin turns up and starts hurling insults.”
Is there a future for Sally and Jeff?
“I don’t know where it’s going. But I am enjoying showing the fun side of Sally…”
