Coronation Streetstar Kym Marsh is to begin penning the story of her life.
The mum of two, who shot to fame when she was picked to join the band Hear’Say and now plays barmaid Michelle Connor, said the book is due out in the spring.
She wrote in her New! magazine column: “I’m going to start writing my autobiography this week. I’m very excited – and a bit scared – by the prospect!”
She went on: “It’ll start from when I was a kid because people seem to be very interested by my life before I was in the limelight and how different it is now. I’ve certainly had my ups and downs!”
Kym said she hoped the book would be “both funny and sad at the same time”.
In her column, Kym also said she’s “not at all” surprised that the BBC is making a drama about the birth of Coronation Street, in which Jessie Wallace will play Pat Phoenix (the Street’s Elsie Tanner).
She added: “I really rate Jessie as an actress and I think she’ll pull it off perfectly. Having said that, if I wasn’t in Corrie, I would have loved that role!”
Kym’s full column is in New! magazine, out now.
